Europeanisation, for obvious reasons, has often been discussed in tandem with transnationalisation. It is therefore relevant to ask whether de-Europeanisation entails detransnationalisation, or what elements of the transnational might persist outside the EU framework. I address this issue in relation to the UK and also to Switzerland, whose links with the EU are also under pressure.
